He is jealous for me.

loves like a hurricane. i am a tree,
bending beneath His weight of His wind and mercy

oh. my. days. what a second half of the week.

wednesday – small group. isaiah 61. read it. Jesus is isaiah 61. booyah, pharisees! as we finished relating all the Bible verses that’s in this chapter, we discussed what that strongholds that keep us from God (besides sin). it took a lot of prodding (on priscilla’s part) and pondering (on our own part) before we finally understood our strongholds. two things:

  1. i hold onto my past. i haven’t forgiven those who hurt me in high school nor do i forgive myself of sins i’ve already given to God, who has in turn forgiven me every time.
  2. i hold my future in my hands. i’m so set on what i’m doing that i’m not opened to what else God has in store for me.

conclusion: i need to hold my past, present, and future with an opened hand. by doing so, i can receive as well as allow God to take what He’s given me and provide me with something better. because.. would God ever disappoint?

if you give God your heart,
you will naturally want to glorify Him.
He is the ultimate reward, nothing else.

thursday – sex trafficking panel discussion. God IS big enough, and, guess what, He’s already won. He’s not asking you to end sex trafficking; He just wants you to join Him in what He’s already doing. don’t reinvent the wheel!

man, so many ideas came up during this panel that i cannot wait to tell Christian fellowship! 😀

friday – teach us how to pray. Jesus never said, “IF you pray, pray like this.” He told His disciples, “WHEN you pray, pray like this: Matthew 6:9-13.” so jonathan broke up the Lord’s prayer into pieces and spoke about each section. we, then in turn, prayed based on that.

our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name
praise God for WHO HE IS cuz it’s NOT about you!
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven
where do we need God’s kingdom to come down on earth?
give us this day our daily bread
NOW we ask for our needs, and (guess what) He will provide
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
we asked for God’s forgiveness or we humbled ourselves to forgive others (that was hard) because God forgave us
lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
seriously, we need divine help with this one!
for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. amen.
bring it back to God! 😀

tomorrow – hope fair 2011! prayer needed! ><
